For the last 8 years, we've been striving to make the places where we live, play, and work better for us all.
The Clemonts Family believes that we’re blessed and if we take our blessings and put them into our communities, then our communities will be blessed too. This fundamental belief is why you can find us promoting scholastic achievements, community investments, and minority culture awareness in the areas that we live, work, and play. From awarding $3,000 in annual scholarships, to renting out theaters so local kids can see movies for free, the Clemonts Family can be found making a difference in our communities. Want to see more? What we do
The Clemonts Family Foundation believes that we can give back to our communities in 3 main areas: scholastic achievement, community investment, and minority culture awareness.
It was another successful Scholarship Season!
Scholarship Season is our favorite time of year and this year was made special by all of our applicants. Ahimar Hernandez-Cruz and Taegan Murrah are 2 well-deserving Greenville High School seniors that we have the pleasure of awarding $1,500 each in exclusive scholarship money to the colleges and universities of their choice. Ahimar set himself apart from other applicants by embodying our Founder’s mantra of “take care of your hood” at such an early age. While part of the local 4H program, Ahimar would pick up the other Greenville High School students in his own vehicle in order to make sure that everyone arrived on time. Taegan, who showed up to her interview on her bDay, was just a powerhouse of an interviewee. She not only impressed our interview panel by being our 1st music major, she laid out her backup plan for her early life in case it doesn’t go the way she wants it to (she’ll be a marine biologist!)
In addition to all of our applicants, we’re giving a big shout out to all of our guest interviewers, the staff at Grantville Branch Public Library, and the staff at Greenville High School for always making it easy to work with us year after year. This year’s scholarship award is a special one for us as it’ll mark $30,000 in scholarship money awarded since our founding in 2016!
Scholastic Achievement
Education is the way to overcome economical disadvantages and escape poverty for many, especially our President. The Clemonts Family Foundation believes education is paramount for the youth, whether that means giving scholarships so they can pursue higher education, helping them earn certifications so they can get to work immediately in the trades, or more. That’s why every year for since our inception, we’ve awarded deserving high school seniors $3,000 in scholarship money. We are proud that many of our scholarship recipients are the 1st in their family to go to college.
Community Investment
Our family believes that we’re blessed and that by taking our blessings and putting them into our communities, they’ll become blessed, too. From local efforts, such as our Thanksgiving Event, to global efforts such as “Belize Navidad,” the Clemonts Family Foundation is always doing what we can to improve the places where we live, work, and play!
Minority Culture Awareness
We bring positive imagery and influences of Black and Brown people to our communities. One of our greatest achievements was renting out a local theater so that neighborhood kids could go see Black Panther for free.
Our numbers speak for us
From our beginnings to now, here is a look at some things that make us great.
